Before starting the measurement, make sure that the value indicated by the gallium column is less than 36°C. Place the thermometer on the body depending on the type of measurement you want. After about 4 minutes the thermometer has detected the body temperature and you can read it. The temperature reading can be facilitated by turning the thermometer slightly. After measuring, the indicator liquid must be reported below 36°C. For this purpose, insert the thermometer in the appropriate support present in the case, taking care to push it well to the bottom, passing the probe through the appropriate hole. Then hold the support and proceed with fast and rhythmic movements to lower the liquid below the first numbered notch. Clean the glass thermometer before and after use.

• Oral measurement Duration of measurement: four minutes. Normal temperature: 37°C. Place the thermometer bulb under the tongue, breathing with the nose to avoid altering the measurement.
• Rectal measurement Duration of measurement: four minutes. Normal temperature: 37,5°C. Gently insert the thermometer bulb into the anus for no more than 2 cm, stopping immediately if any type of resistance occurs.
  
• Axle Measurement Duration of measurement: four minutes. Normal temperature 36,7°C. Make sure the axillary cable is dry, then place the thermometer bulb in the axle socket and press the arm against the bulb.

Warnings

Do not drop the thermometer and do not hit it. Do not bend the thermometer tip or bite it. Damaged glass coating thermometers no longer need to be used (lesion risk).
Keep away from the reach of children. For the entire period of use the child must always be assisted by an adult.
Galistan measuring liquid cannot come into contact with noble or light metals for the danger of reaction.
When measuring, be careful to avoid any risk of injury.
The use of the thermometer does not replace a medical consultation. A persistent fever condition especially in children must be the subject of medical care.

Warnings for cleaning and disinfection:

The thermometer has a hygienic glass enclosure with airtight seal, and it is possible to disinfect without limits. The temperature of the detergent and disinfectant solution must not exceed 42°C. The cleaning of the glass thermometer before and after use can be done with cold soapy water.

Disinfect the thermometer with an ovat or a cloth soaked with alcohol or immerse the thermometer in a disinfecting solution (dip time according to the instructions of the disinfectant liquid). In case of thermometer breakage, the liquid can be grouped and removed with a cellulose cloth or cloth in wet fabric with soapy water. The remains can be safely disposed of in household waste.
