active ingredients

1 g cream contains: hydrocortisone 5 mg. Excipients with known effects: methyl parahydroxybenzoate and propile parahydroxybenzoate, perfumed essence. For the full list of excipients, see paragraph 6.1.

Palmito stearate of glycerol and polyethyleneglycol associated with cetilstearilic alcohol polyxyethylene, polyglycolisate isosteal glycerides, monostearate glycerol, phenoxethanol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propile parahydroxybenzoate, isostearate of isostearyl, purified paraffin, liquid essence.

Therapeutic indications

Punctures of insects, itching or burns circumscribed, eczema, eritemi.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or any of the excipients listed in paragraph 6.1. The use of hydrocortisone is contraindicated during viral, bacterial and fungal diseases.

Population

Posology: Spread the cream on the affected area in thin layer 2-3 times a day, frying slightly. The maximum recommended duration of treatment is 3 days in case of erythitis, 7 days for other indications. In case of no response to therapy, clinical evaluation is required.

Conservation

This medicine does not require any special condition of conservation.

Warnings

The cream does not find ophthalmological use, nor should it be applied in the periocular areas. Not to be used in itching vulvare, if associated with vaginal losses. The use, especially if prolonged, of products for topical use can give rise to phenomena of irritation or awareness. In this case it is necessary to stop the treatment and carry out a clinical evaluation for the management of the clinical picture. Respect the recommended treatment duration (see paragraph 4.2) avoiding prolonged applications especially on large surfaces. Pediatric population: In children under 2 years of age the product should be administered in cases of actual need and under the direct control of the doctor. Visual disturbances: With the use of systemic and topical corticosteroids, visual disturbances can be reported. If a patient occurs with symptoms such as blurred vision or other visual disorders, it is necessary to consider referral to an ophthalmologist for the evaluation of possible causes that may include cataracts, glaucoma or rare diseases such as central serum corioretinopathy (CSCR), which were reported after the use of systemic and topic corticosteroids. Important information about some excipients: Dermocortal contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate and propile parahydroxybenzoate: can cause allergic reactions (also delayed). Dermocortal contains benzilic alcohol: it can cause mild local irritation. Dermocortal contains perfumed essence, in turn containing amile cinnamal, amylcinnamilic alcohol, anisilic alcohol, benzil benzoato, benzil cinnamato, benzil salicylate, cinnamilic alcohol, cinnamilic alcohol, citronellol, cumarin, eugenol, foliage, geranium. Amile cinnamal, amylcinnamilic alcohol, anisilic alcohol, benzil benzoato, benzil cinnamato, benzil salicylate, cinnammale, cinnamilic alcohol, citral, citronellol, cumarin, eugenol, foliage, geranium, aldehyde exil cinnamial, hydroxycitronella.

Interactions

No medical interactions with other drugs are known.

Effects

Eye pathologies: unknown frequency blurred vision (see also paragraph 4.4). Reporting of suspicious adverse reactions. The reporting of suspicious adverse reactions that occur after the authorization of the medicinal product is important, as it allows continuous monitoring of the benefit/risk ratio of the medicinal product. Overdosing

There are no overdose problems unless stated in paragraph 4.4.

In pregnant women the product should be administered in the event of actual need, under the direct control of the doctor.
