Collirio (flacone 10 ml): Sodium chloride, Potassium phosphate monobasic, Sodium phosphate dibasic dodecaidrate, Benzalconio chloride, Hamamelis Virginiana concentrated distillate water, Ethyl alcohol, Canfora, Water for injectable preparations. Collirio (container monodose) Sodium chloride, Potassium phosphate monobasic, Sodium phosphate dibasic dodecaidrate, Hamamelis Virginiana concentrated distillate water, Ethyl alcohol, Canfora, Water for injectable preparations.

Therapeutic indications

Roasting, tearing, burning and itching of the eyes caused by irritative phenomena (excess exposure to dust, smoking, etc.).

Contraindications

It should not be used by subjects with closed angle glaucoma or other serious eye diseases. Hypersensitivity to components or to other substances closely related to chemical. It should not be used in children under twelve years. Contemporaneous treatment with inhibitor drugs of monoaminoxydase (see point 4.5).

Population

Collii: 1-2 drops in the joint bag one-two times a day. Strictly stick to the recommended doses. In case of persisting or aggravating symptoms after a short period of treatment consult your doctor. In any case, the product should not be used for more than 4 consecutive days, unless otherwise prescribed, as it may occur side effects. A higher dose of the product even if taken in a topical way and for a short period of time can give rise to serious systemic effects.

Conservation

Collirio (flacone 10 ml) Store in the original packaging. Valid after first opening: 30 days. Collirio (container monodose) Store in the original packaging. Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. It does not contain preservatives; for this reason every single-dose container, once opened, must be thrown after use, even if used only in part.

Warnings

The product, while presenting poor systemic absorption, should be used with caution in patients suffering from hypertension, hyperthyroidism, heart disorders, bronchial asthma and hyperglycemia (diabetes). Infections, pus, foreign bodies in the eye, mechanical, chemical, heat damage, require medical attention. The product should be kept away from the reach of children since accidental ingestion can cause depression of the SNC (stated or hypotonia). Since the product, in the bottle 10 ml, contains the benzalconio chloride, during treatment, soft contact lenses should not be worn. Since benzalconio chloride is not present in the monodose packaging, this can be used by contact lens holders, or by those who manifest hypersensitivity to benzalconio chloride.

Interactions

Collii Alfa decongestionante should not be used in patients undergoing treatment with antidepressant drugs (IMAO) and in the two weeks following such treatment as severe hypertensive crises may arise.

Effects

The use of the product can sometimes determine pupilal dilation, systemic effects from absorption (hypertension, heart disorders, hyperglycemia), increased blood pressure, nausea, headache. Rarely, phenomena of hypersensitivity can occur. In this case it is necessary to stop the treatment and consult the doctor so that, where necessary, suitable therapy can be established. The patient is invited to report to the doctor or pharmacist any undesirable effects not described.

Overdosing

Strictly stick to the recommended doses. The product, if accidentally ingested or used for a long period at excessive doses, can determine toxic phenomena, especially in children. If this happens: gastric lavender, sedation with diazepam and general support measures.

In pregnancy and during breastfeeding use only in case of actual need, under the direct control of the doctor.
