Accu-Chek Guide is the blood glucose measurement system for people with diabetes in the domain of home automation and in vitro diagnostic use by medical personnel in the clinical field.
The Accu-Chek Guide system is a unique solution, designed to meet the different needs of people with diabetes and healthcare professionals. The characteristics of the system, such as the patented anti-corruption oval bottle and the new reactive strips with a wide application area of the blood sample, represent many intelligent solutions that simplify the execution of the glycemic test.
The system provides excellent accuracy and precision. Accu-Chek Guide reactive strips have been subjected to a wide variety of tests, including studies conducted at external sites and extensive internal testing. The results of the studies show that reactive strips ensure accurate and reliable measurements in different conditions.

The Accu-Chek Guide strips have three main features:
- Anti-breaking oval bottle: the innovative design of the strip container bottle prevents the overthrow and facilitates the removal of one strip at a time. The oval shape makes it pocketable and the protruding cap easily openable.
- Wide blood sample application area: the new Accu-Chek Guide reactive strips allow the application of a small blood sample at any point of the wide end highlighted in yellow and intuitively signaled by red blood drops drawn near the area.
- Excellent accuracy (10/10): Accu-Chek Guide complies with ISO 15197:2013/EN ISO 15197:2015 and provides superior accuracy to the requirements required, ensuring reliable results.

System Accuracy:
1. System accuracy results for glucose concentrations of less than 100 mg/dl (less than 5.55 mmol/l):
- within ±5 mg/dl (within ±0.28 mmol/l): 175/186 (94.1%);
- within ±10 mg/dl (with ±0.56 mmol/l): 186/186 (100%);
- within ±15 mg/dl (with ±0.83 mmol/l): 186/186 (100%).

2. Accuracy results for glucose concentrations of 100 mg/dl (or more than 5.55 mmol/l):
- within ±5 mg/dl: 296/414 (71.5%);
- within ±10 mg/dl: 404/414 (97.6%);
- within ±15 mg/dl: 413/414 (99.8%);

3. Accuracy results for glucose concentrations between 14 mg/ml (0.78 mmol/l) and 578 mg/ml (32.1 mmol/l):
- within ±15 mg/dl or within ±15% (within ±0.83 mmol/l or within ±15%): 599/600 (99.8%).

Mode of use
Carefully read the leaflet of the reactive strips.
Place the sample on the strip aspriation area, highlighted in yellow. Wait about 4 seconds, for the duration of the measurement cycle.
The yellow reactive area on the strip gives a visual confirmation of the correct application of the sample.

Warnings
Lipemic samples (triglycerides) >1800 mg/dL (>20.3 mmol/L) can produce high glycemic results.
Do not use this system if you have intravenous infusion in ascorbic acid.
Do not use this system during the xylose absorption test.

Conservation
Store strips at a temperature between 4°C and 30°C.
Reactive strips can be used until the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
These are true for the reactive strips of a new and intact bottle, as well as for the reactive strips of an already open bottle.
